• Open Active Directory Users And Computers
  
• Select your Distribution Group and properties ...
  
• Select the Attribute Editor tab (this may be hidden, but can be added by an option in the view menu)
  
• scroll down to the proxyAddresses attribute
  
• Add your alias email address in the format:
  
• smtp: useralias@mydomain.com
  
• Click ok
